Introduction

Guy Simons on The Rally of The Tests

This website is designed for those with an interest in the history, production and ownership of the Riley One-Point-Five.

Introduced in November 1957 - six months after its sister car the Wolseley 1500 - the One-Point-Five can claim to be the first real 'hot hatch'! Offering small car attributes with a powerful engine and luxury fittings (leather and wood!). When production ended in April 1965 production ran to nearly 40,000 units. Today relatively few survive.

What follows is a brief explaination of the history and development of these little cars, along with some of the racing achievements and modifications that current owners can carry out. We have also included  is a full list of the specifications for the car and details of changes made during the 8 years production run. Finally there is a gallery for One-Point-Fives, where any contributions are more than welcome.
