The One-Point-Five Register.

Towards the end of 2007, the 50th anniversary of the One-Point-Five, a register was set up to record as many of these cars as posible. It is hoped that this register will become a permenant record of all known cars, as well as some of the 'missing' cars with interesting histories.

With this in mind, the Riley Motor Club have had no objections to the forming of this register and in fact some of the club members have already contributed information and advice.

Inclusion in the register is open to anyone and their Riley, although it is entirely voluntary. It is hoped that the following information will be included:-

Chassis number.

Registration number.

Engine number.

Exterior & Interior colours.

Current owner.

History - shows attended, competition history, famous previous owners! etc.

A photo - if posible.

Update November 2009:-
Appologies for not giving everyone an update sooner! The register is progressing very well - with new cars coming to light on a weekly basis - thanks to all those who have sent details in.
The 1st edition of the register has been ready for a little while - anybody who has not received a copy yet and would like one then please contact us on info@riley-one-point-five.co.uk 

For those interested the break-down of the cars is as follows:-
Pre-production :-    13 listed -   4 still known
Mark 1:-                174 listed - 86 known
Mark 2:-                130 listed - 76 known
Mark 3:-                244 listed - 122 known.
Unknown cars:-      17 listed.
Totals:-                 578 listed - 288 known.
This does not include a number of cars which I have photos for - but are un-identified.

Update April 2008:-

Although still in its early stages there are signs that there may be more cars in existence than perhaps one might imagine. There are also cars spread far and wide with contributions from New Zealand, USA, Malta, Sweden, France, Ireland and Portugal. 

There are a number of interesting cars coming to light, the 4th pre-production car, one of the last cars produced in April 1965, a pick-up conversion, one car that has covered 16,000 miles from new (with the same family!) and 3 or maybe 4 works prepared rally cars (although all the rally cars appear to have gone!). 

At the latest count (end of March 2008) there are 251 cars listed in the register, of which there are 120 known to still exist. However the ones that still exist include quite a few cars which either being restored or are in ‘scrap’ condition. Hopefully we will soon get an idea of how many cars are actually still road registered.
